Ruslana Kourshunova Suicide Or Murder
We are used to hear that models die because of starvation (anorexia) but this time is different. Ruslana Korshunova, a Russian model died at the age of 20 in what it seems to be a suicide. She fell from the balcony of her apartment in one of the buildings outside the Financial District.
Ruslana Korshunova has appeared on the cover of Elle and Vogue magazines and in ads for DKNY, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobsm, Nina Ricci and others famous brands.

Why is everyone so quick to rule this as a suicide? No one saw her jump; they just saw her body fall. My theory is that because she had seen a movie with her ex-boyfriend, her current boyfriend got in a fight with her, killed her, and then ripped the material off the balcony and threw her body off the building to make it look like a suicide (which would explain why no one heard a scream). Or maybe he didn’t even kill her before he pushed her off.
Regardless, more investigation should be done into her boyfriend and ex-boyfriend and any other people who had been around.
Do people just want to think it’s suicide because it makes them feel better about their lives to think a gorgeous, successful, young woman would be unhappy enough to kill herself?

I agree with Cristina, they don’t have proof that it was a suicide. They need to further investigate.

I think the exactly same thing!People on forums are saying that her notes revealed a depressed woman, but talking from experience, I went trough a period of life when I was going trough some serious depression, and the main thing you cannot do when you feel down is WORK!My main thing that was destroyed by my depression was my studying, social life too, and this girl was working louds, and it’s a job of many social contacts, you’re sourounded by so many people, and you have to be productive doing the campaign and being depressed just rub you from being able to be productive and motivated!So having just turned from Paris, going to Milan, shows no depression, cause you’re lifeless when you’re depressed, and no act could cover that, you’re lifeless and it’s a wonder how she being supossedly depressed could pull of all these runways, trips, jobs….Once I saw a pic of her curent boyfriend, something about his expression doesn’t show a good person, it’s superficial to judge that way, but the vibe I got was negative….and clearly the main suspicious thing is, well you saw pics of her balcony, if jumped she would be placed right on the door entrance roof or fell trough it, how the hell she felt over it, like her fall wasn’t flat, it was curved, cause she fell on the street!If she jumped how did she managed to stand on that thin fence on the first place to take a swing, and second if she did she wouldn’t be able to take that big of a swing (like she’s practising athletic jumping) to still managed to fall way beyond entrance roof!And all her pics show such a happy girl, pleasent with her life, carefree, and you can’t act that so well especially being drained by your job…..no chance.Her current boyfriend killed her!So sad…..and this messages on her myspace people are caling depressive, well people write a loads of untrue crap to sound cool and put a litlle show off on that social sites…you put the best pictures, cause a litlle drama, yell a bit in your statuses on facebook to be interesting, it doen’t show anything!I certanly hope police won’t close this case up, they should sit down her boyfriend and ask him a lot of questions!

Agreed. 3 Days shy of turning 21 very few people are not willing to at least turn that corner. Especially when sources so close (Kira Titeneva & family) can’t find any motive for suicide. Also she was never into drugs or any kind of reckless abandon… Perhaps she was pregnant?Perhaps a motive for murder? No suicide note seems odd for someone so up to date on a blog – if it wasn’t drugs and was drama motivated why no note? I realize it may come unexpectedly and sometimes no note is found and yet when people consistently closest are baffled I think that warrants some speculation – with or without all the face value material wealth/beauty.

24 hours) without any mention of an investigation or autopsy, etc.?

I agree with other posts on here. It seems odd that her death was wrapped up within 24 hours as suicide without conclusive evidence. There are so many rumours around stating that she was the victim of a $500,000 fraud by her agency (PRAVDA doesn’t say which one). She killed herself when things were finally going so well for her professionally? The posts in her blog tell of someone who is confused about her identity, not someone who is suicidal. And then there’s the physical evidence. She fell into the middle of the road. She would have had to take a running jump out of her flat to land that far out. Not possible due to the size of her balcony, and if you believe she killed herself deliberately, cutting a relatively small hole in the safety netting covering the balcony. Apparently she suffered from vertigo so a great choice of method (??)
And she landed on her back, face up. Usually people land head first with their forearms shattered where they try to protect themselves. None of her friends, or her lovers, or her family say that she was depressed prior to her death. They say she was happy. It’s also highly unusual for a young female to kill themselves in this way. Pills or poison is the usual way. Perhaps I’m wrong but if so, she left no clues at all as to why she would destroy herself. One thing, IMG Models didn’t even pay for her body to be shipped back to Kazakhstan. They are the 5th largest agency in the world. After all the money she earned for them, SHAME ON YOU!

Ruslana’s postings are no indication of an imminent suicide-any one can write such things when they are down and even worse.
The thing is they say she jumped from the adjoining buiding. Would a person who is going to commit suicide go to all that trouble? They would simply go to the balcony and jump.

did her face looked like she was crying before that usually when ur depressed and almost decided to comite suicide u just do it you dont waiste 6 more minutes on cutting something u just jump…it doesnt make sense.from experience when im crying crying crying want to die i would just do it whatever.take poison,jump over my building or something because once u get up from where u r standing or make a move ur tears stop aswel for a sec then u get to think…”why am i doing this..why do i want to do suicide”…that happpens in like 3 seconds and then u do it if its really unbearable pain but obvioustly she stayed up and she concentred on something else..(looking for a knife scearsors to cut that thing..the cutt it..that takes time) it really doesnt make sense to me why shed cut that thing and thenland right in middle of the street ! i know ruslanka.she wound never do that in the first place and she was very down to earth so if shed take ONLY a MOMENT GETTING UP AND think about smtng else then crying she would have started laughting!!! THIS IS NOT SUICIDE!
