Miley Cyrus Zuhair Murad Spring 2009 Dress A Ripoff?
It’s true Miley Cyrus wore the Zuhair Murad Spring 2009 gown but the question I rise to all of you is this dress was or not copied after a Dior 1949 dress.
I’m not a fashion expert, but I can’t let this go. Some explication must be given because as far as I know inspiring your work from someone else’s is one thing but to copy it that should never happen at such a high level.
What do you think about this?

sense fahion cant be copyrighted whatsoever because they dont consider it an actual art sense its clothing now they are some penalties Chambre de commerce et d’industrie in paris but idkif this would cualify obiously not. but yeah its a very similar sort of replicate of this dress. but the second replicate does not even get close to the original dior which is simply a marvalous creation

I concur Gaston; the original Dior dress is far more fabulous than the dress worn by Miley in 2009. Perhaps it is not illegal to copy a dress, but it does speak volumes about the integrity of the ‘copycat’ dressmaker. I would have respect for Zuhair had he credited the design for this dress to Dior. Re-inventing an already existing design in a new way, while crediting the original designer, seems fine to me, but this is a blatant, ( and might I add “very poor” ), attempt to copy an original design.
