Back in May after the Supreme Court of California removed the stat ban against gay marriage, Ellen asked Portia to marry her. The couple was among the firsts to take advantage of the new law.

This week end Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got married. The ceremony took place in their home and it was very intimate. They only had 19 guests.

Couple of days ago something great happened for the gay community in California as the Supreme Court removed the state’s ban against gay marriage.

The news was taken so well by Ellen DeGeneres as she asked her girlfriend Portia de Rossi to marry her. And so Ellen invited Portia in her show where she made the big announcement of their marriage.
